Happy New Year!

I know it is a little late, but hey, at least I am posting.  So far this year, I alone have had 4 Dr visits, Bentley has had 1 and so has Casey.  Poor Casey took off the week after Christmas and we basically just stayed in bed sick most of the time.  One day he would feel better and the next day I would feel better and he would feel worse.  We had some nasty pharyngitis (throat infection) and we kept giving back and forth since we share mouth wash.  I also had ear infections and a sinus infection.  Casey had the same and so did Bentley.  We are all finally feeling better, praise God.  I am also back at the podiatrist.  Seems like the tumor she removed was what was making up all of the padding under my 2nd metatarsal, so now we are making me some orthodics.  You know I am really a 35 year old trapped in a 60 year old body, HA!!

I just wanted to take some time and tell my friends and family who follow what a great year 2010 was and wish everyone a great 2011.  Casey ended up having a very good sales year this year.  He also helped coach Riley's soccer team this last fall and he enjoyed it so much, he is going to be the head coach for Riley's spring team.  He also got some golf clubs, so I am sure that made his year!  I had an awesome year.  First, I have really enjoyed teaching at CCP.  I never thought I would love it as much as I do, but it is one of the most fulfilling jobs I have ever had.  I work with some of the greatest women in the world.  One of those is my partner Lori.  She is truly a good mentor for me, not only in the classroom, but also in my walk with Christ.  The kids in my class also make it very worthwhile.  They are such sweet kiddos and have touched me this year.  Bentley's Bows has also really taken off.  This fall was really busy!!  I cannot believe how much God has blessed me with creativity.  I amaze myself at times, but I know it is him working through me.  I have learned so much about small business, and my products just continue to get better.  I have really placed myself with some great vendors and of course, my sister in law, Tricia.  She is very talented as well and together, we have a great little team.  I am also extremely thankful for her.

Riley finished out his 3day 3 year old class with flying colors last spring and has done awesome in the 4 year old class as well.  He is such a smart little guy.  He never ceases to amaze me - whether it is writing his first and last name, singing every single word (correctly mind you) to Dierks, bible school music, or Bruno Mars, spelling small words, or writing music.  He enjoyed playing soccer last fall and is going to play again in the spring.  And I cannot forget to mention his winning Camper of the Week award at his summer camp this summer.  I thank God for him daily and I am so proud of him.

Bentley has grown and done so much this year!!!!!  Her vocabulary exploded over the last 6 months.  She finished out her 2 day 1 year old class and absolutely loves her 2 year old class.  Her teachers this year are so amazing have done such a good job with her.  Every day, she literally says or does something new....counts to 10 in Spanish, recognizes several letters, puts full sentences together, and says she and Riley's first and middle names (thank goodness....ready to get rid of the name "Bubba").  She has been fully potty trained (except at night) since the end of August and has many mornings where she wakes up with a dry pull up.  She took some classes at the Little Gym this summer and really wants to take ballet, so we are going to try that this summer.  She is also a very girly girl.  She loves her tutus, bows, sunglasses and nail polish (I have no idea where she gets this!).

I am one blessed young woman (emphasis on the young ;) and this is just a small glimpse of the things I am thankful for.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2011.
