Riley Singing to Bentley

Riley loves to sing and entertain his sister. Sometimes he gets a little carried away, but I finally caught some of his sweetness on film. Enjoy :)

Gig'em Horns Bentley is 10 Months Old!!

Today Miss Bentley is 10 months old. She is 21 lbs and 29 1/4 inches long. Her hair is getting so thick and she gets prettier and prettier everyday. We celebrated tonight at Memaw's with some steaks and key lime pie!! Her Nana got her a Longhorn cheerleading outfit and since she has worn her Aggie gear that her cousin Christmas (as Riley likes to call Chrissy) got her, I put her in that yucky burnt orange thing today. What is amazing is she is so pretty, she even made that horrible color look good. By the way, Riley is helping me take all these pictures by getting B's attention and getting her to smile. Looks like Olan Mills might have an intern for the summer.

I Deserve a Raise

Here comes TROUBLE!

Since Bentley has been on the move, boy has my life changed. She is into EVERYTHING. I don't remember Riley being this curious, but I also didn't stay home with him. He was so laid back. If you gave him a handful of toys, he seemed content. Not so much with Miss Priss. She LOVES to eat the lava rocks from the fireplace - that is her favorite. She also loves to knock the candle sticks over and play in my decorative balls. I have pulled rocks, foam (I have NO idea where she got this), plastic, and a piece of our office chair out of her mouth. She cannot be trusted for 2 minutes alone.....hard for me to go potty these days needless to say.

Bentley's First Easter Egg Hunt

Well, my IT department had some technical difficulties uploading this one last night. This is Bentley and her first egg hunt at Shawnda's house. She did good. She just wanted to eat the egg instead of putting it in the basket!!!

The olny picture I can get of my son Easter morning

We had a great Easter this year. Riley had an Easter egg hunt at school Thursday and that started our 4 day Easter celebration. He had a blast. Then Friday, his daddy bought Rock Band 2 and I cannot even get a chance to play between the two of them (mainly Riley). He asks all the time, "after my nap, I get to play the drums on daddy's game?" Then Saturday, we spent the day at my sister Shawnda's house and we had a great time visiting and hunting eggs. Riley loves to play with his cousins (on both sides of the family). Then Sunday, we got up and had Easter baskets and got ready for church. Riley and Bentley both looked beautiful, but Riley would have nothing to do with having his picture made :( We went to eat with Casey's family after church and had a very nice Easter lunch. We missed Nana and Papaw though.
This year has been a really tough Easter for me. For one, it was one of my Dad's favorite times of the year and he SO pressed the fact that Easter is so much more than eggs and bunnies and candy to all of his kids. It is so important because without our savior being resurrected we would not have eternal life. Last Easter was also the last time I really spent with my Dad before he died. I am glad to have my family, my friends and my kiddos to help me through these tough times. I love you Daddy and miss you everyday.

It's Potty Time!!!

Riley in his big boy underwear eating his sucker!

Riley has had his ups and downs with potty training. He did good for a little while last fall and then he wanted NOTHING to do with it until recently. I have tried several ways to entice and I finally arrived at the treat jar. There are all different prizes in the treat jar. If he goes poop, the treat is bigger. Of course, my son loves the suckers. Whatever the motivation is, I don't care so long as he starts going. He has been doing great the past couple of weeks. He has gone at church and at school and he has gone poop as well. I would love to get a raise and get at least one of my children out of diapers. I let him wear some training pants the other night for over and hour and he kept them clean and dry. I think we are onto something, or at least I hope! Check out his dumb and dumber hair cut his momma gave him :)

Also, mom wanted to see the bluebonnets and Melissa (Anna's mom) told me about a place in Chapel Hill. It was absolutely beautiful there. Me and mom and the kiddos had a nice time. There were 2 country dogs that befriended us as well and Riley really enjoyed that. I hate to bore with more bluebonnet pictures, but they were so beautiful I couldn't help it!!!

Bentley Crawling

Bentley is FINALLY crawling after a month and a half of backward and army crawling. She crawled a few steps (3 or 4) a couple of times on Saturday, so I thought we were on our way to a whole new ball game. But she never crawled again. Today, she has crawled more and I finally got it on tape. I think she is going to be very laid back like her brother was. Enjoy!
