Happy 19 Months Today Bentley

Today Bentley is 19 months old.  I can hardley believe that 19 months have passed.  CRAZY!!!  I am trying to savor every last moment as she is no longer a baby, but a full blown toddler.  She is getting bigger every day and can almost wear the same size shoe as her brother.  She is my high-maintenance child, but I would not trade a thing about her.

The Shirt Says It All

I got this shirt for my little "hissy" when we went to Fredericksburg.  It says "I feel a hissy fit coming on" and that is so fitting.  I love my girl, but she is one particular little angel.  She has no problem pitchin' a hissy when things don't go her way.  So different from Riley.  Here are more recent pics.

Is that Dierks or Riley

Riley has got such a passion for music.  It started with drums and then the guitar and now he loves to sing.  He knows every word to most Dierks Bentley and Taylor Swift songs.  He also knows some Coldplay and some Brad Paisley.  It is amazing to hear him recite the words (THE CORRECT WORDS mind you).....he is such a mini-Carrie it is unreal.  I used to dream of being a singer (before I realized I am HORRIBLE) and I would sing into my mom's hairbrush all the time.  Enough about me reliving my dream of being a singer through Riley...... His Nana got him a karaoke machine for Christmas.  He has a country CD, but he doesn't know a lot of those songs (yet), and he got one with kids songs.  He loves it.  Here is a clip of my future Dierks :)

Here We Go AGAIN

I do not know what my daughter's obsession with diaper rash cream is, but it has got to stop!!!  Someone (Casey) must have left the cream in the basket (I now keep it in the medicine cabinet) and she went to town again.  This time, she styled her hair with it.  While it appeared funny at first and I thought a simple bath would resolve this little mishap, it turned out to be not so funny.  I washed it with her shampoo first, then with my shampoo and still not one bit had come out.  I then had to use Dawn dishwashing liquid and baking soda and then a final shampoo.  It is still a little white and greasy, but much better than it was......I HATE DIAPER RASH CREAM!

Move Over Tiger...There is a New Kid in Town

Riley got his first set of real golf clubs (or glolf clubs as he says) yesterday with the Christmas money that his GiGi sent to him.  The set has a really cool little green bag, a driver, a putter and an iron.  He had a $5 little plastic set that he actually would swing pretty well and make contact with the ball, so his Daddy wanted to get him some clubs.  He does pretty good and has great form for a 3 year old that has only held a real club a handful of times in his life.  His favorite part of course is the glove.....my child is obsessed with gloves.  I call him Micheal Jackson and he thinks it is cool (as he had no idea what the reference is).  I really hope that he enjoys the sport and picks it up.  His Daddy loves golf and I used to play and enjoyed it.  Maybe it will put him through college (at TCU of course) :)
