Bentley Walking

Bentley has been really close to walking for over a month now. She would talke 2 or 3 solid steps and then do nothing. Well, this morning, she took about 10 steps and she has been walking on and off all day. I finally caught some footage of her. She loves to drag toys around as you can see.

Dr. Bryant & Mr. Fix It

Riley got a dr kit for his birthday from his Nana and it is adorable. It is all wooden and both Riley and Bentley love to play with it. Bentley takes the stethoscope and puts it around her neck and crawls around with it. It is the cutest thing. Riley also got another wooden took kit and loves it too. I have had to put a gate up for our dogs at night and he was "helping" me the other day. He put my pink dish washing gloves on and got his tool kit out and was drilling and hammering it together. Me and mom were cracking up.

Update on Miss Bentley's mobility. This child has been so close to walking for over a month now. She has taken 2 to 3 steps confidently on MANY occasions and we have been saying that any day she is just gonna take off. Well, she hasn't. She just stands and plays....I guess she is working on her balance, but she has great balance by now. Last night she took a solid 5 steps, but hasn't done it again. Who knows when she will take off, but by the time she does, she will be able to run!!!

Riley's Birthday Weekend

Riley has really enjoyed ringing in year number 3!!! Friday, we spent the day with Memaw and went to Chuck E Cheese. He had a blast playing and eating pizza. Then we came home, took a nap and Memaw took him to get a cake so he could have cake on his actual birthday (as if we needed that). He got a chocolate cake and we sang happy birthday and he loved it! I don't know who had more fun at Chuck E Cheese, Riley or Memaw ;) Then, Saturday we went and had his 3 year pictures made and they turned out so good. It is really hard to get a picture of both Bentley and him that is good, but we managed to get a couple. He is really photogenic when he wants to be. Today we had his party at our community splash pad/pool and he had a great turn out. He had all his friends there and they swam and had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (his FAV) and cake and ice cream. We are so blessed to have such great family members and friends to share these times with. He told me when we got home that he loved playing with his friends. Those moments just warm your heart. He got more gifts than we know what to do with, but he loves them all. I will toss a thanks out to Nana who BLESSED him with a real drum set.....and we wonder why I love wine :)

Happy 3rd Birthday Riley!!!

Today is my little man's 3rd birthday!!! I cannot believe it was 3 years ago today that I gave birth to him. He was such a great baby, so laid back (and HUGE). Casey and I have been so blessed with him. He is so smart too. Everyday, he says or does something that just takes my breath. This past year he started school for the first time and loved it. He went every Tuesday and Thursday and every time I picked him up, his teachers would just brag on him. His music career also grew a lot this year! He loves the guitar, drums and vocals. He knows more words to most songs than his daddy does. He is always telling me "turn it up mom" or "this is my song!" I think he loves Dierks Bentley more than I do, LOL! (He picked this song for the blog). Needless to say, we rock out together. He is my sweetest little guy and I hope he has a great day today!! Happy Birthday baby!!!

Fun with Nona & Uncle Kenny

Saturday, we went to Shawnda and Kenny's house to bring Elyse and Bekah home. They had stayed the week at Memaw's and we had all kinds of fun with them. Riley loves his cousins so much. We shopped, watched movies (they love scary movies like me), played and visited. I love it when they come stay at Memaw's. We enjoyed swimming and eating at Shawnda and Kenny's house on Saturday. Riley learned to throw the frisby and he was pretty good. Bentley skinny dipped and got out to enjoy a snack on her Nona's lap and got so excited she peed on her :) Sorry Nona!!

Go Astros!!

Riley went to his first Astros game on Sunday and he had a blast. We took him as part of his 3rd birthday and he did really good. He was so excited when we first walked in and he saw the players warming up. He kept yelling at them telling them to throw the ball to him. It was really cute. I only have one picture because, first of all, he wouldn't really cooperate and take them and secondly, I accidentally deleted them :(

Say Cheese!

I got a new camera this week and I LOVE IT. I don't know hardly anything about it right now, but I am trying to learn. It is so cool. I have some really good ideas in terms of photography style and such, so hopefully, I can learn to use it and put my good ideas to use. I only have a couple that were good (I have SO much to learn) and I thought I would share.
